9:45 Arrival
10:00 Welcome & Opening
10:30 Grandmother's Circle with Eco Hermanas
Using story, song and ceremony, Grandmothers convene a circle of women doing environmental work to strengthen our Earth connection. We set our intention to support, heal and strengthen our personal, communal and collective integrity.
11:30 Solstice Herbal Healing Candles with Molly Meehan & Taryn Peacock
Many times we think about the healing power of plants in the form of teas, tinctures, or something we ingest. We can also invite powerful plant healing through out our lives, including with the candles we burn. We will learn how to create a candle using simple ingredients infused with healing and sacred plant medicine to bring light to our intentions during this winter dream time.
12:30 Winter Solstice Charm Collaborative Community Alter with Caryl Henry ~~~ Potluck Lunch/Artisans Market
Winter Solstice Charms with Caryl Henry : We will celebrate the longest night/shortest day of the year together, by co-creating a community alter. We invite you each to bring something that represents what you bring to our community at this moment. During the workshop we will work with the vibrational medicine of plant materials to visualize our intentions around the coming season as we move into the light.
2:00 Answering the Great Mothers call and River Ceremony with Rabiah Al Nur
Ceremony at the water to greet, give and receive blessings. On site teachings of how we are being called and some ways to deepen your connection.
3:15 Yeast + Yoni Health through Ferments and Herbs with Lacey Walker
Many folks experience prolonged and repeated discomfort from yeast imbalance. The winter solstice is an ideal time to take stock of the situation, address root causes and cultivate resistance and resilience through fermented foods, herbs, movement and meditation for pelvic health. We'll touch on topics like the importance of species identification and targeted treatment, diversification of gut microbiota through varied ferments and herbs that can heal skin, block fungal formation and boost the immune system and the importance of pelvic elasticity and tissue stimulation.
4:30 Begin the New Year Clear and Refreshed with Nature's Medicine with Ife Kilimanjaro and Jessice Alvarez
The New Year is the perfect time to clear away the negativity of the past year and set forth a clean slate for the road ahead. Come learn how the earth's bountiful herbs, trees and plants have been historically used in baths to cleanse your body, to calm emotions, clear away chaotic energy and help open roads for a new year.
Happy Solstice!
