Main House For Rent on Centro Ashé Farm

Beginning August 1, 2018 we will have our main house available to come and live here at Centro Ashé (we still have our own home onsite, and will be running all normal Centro Ashé programming). Our main house which is four bedrooms and two bathrooms will be available for rent for one year. We are open to having kind respectful simple living folks come live here, could be a family, couple, or a committed group of friends that are interested. No subletting.
We have public programs that are often practical and land based on the farm very often between August - December.

Our Home
Its a very peaceful environment, relaxed, occasionally hosting camp fires or potlucks for local friends, and hanging out on the porch during the summer. While the farm open to the public during class times, it is often very quiet, especially during the winter season when we do not hold classes or public programs. Classes and visitors never enter the main house, which is residents private home space. Our peaceful homestead about 45 minutes south of DC in Bryans Road, MD, we have fruit trees, herb gardens, chickens, abundant organic veggies, and more. It's a peaceful sanctuary not too far outside of the city. We're located very close to the Potomac River, and are adjacent to a 5000 acre national park as well as several state parks with hiking trails, organic farm, fishing pier, and more. It is a very easy commute for work or school to DC, Waldorf, La Plata, etc.
Rent and Logistics
The four bedroom 2 bathroom home includes a living room and kitchen/eat in dining room. The lease will be a year Rent for the house will be $1650 per month for the rental of 4 bedrooms - an equal deposit is required. The folks who live in the main house pay 2/3 of utilities which are electricity, heating oil, internet, tv, trash. Animals are a possibility with a non-refundable pet deposit of $200 plus any damages caused.
The house uses heating oil (if you are unfamiliar its important you realize it can be very expensive depending on how warm you need the house), and we do have AC however have it sparingly - the upstairs usually stays pretty warm during the summer so depending on needs folks may need to bring window units for upstairs with them. Wireless internet Fios is available.
There is no current laundry hookup in the house - but laundrymat up the road. It is a very commutable distance to DC, a great peaceful place to live while having access to the city. The traffic can be intense so be aware that there is still rush hour going up to the city in the morning and down in the evening. Near waldorf, la plata, accokeek, and more.
