Our origens . . .
In 2020 when the world experienced a sudden shift in which many of our community members found ourselves isolated and disconnected, at Wild Ginger we also needed to find a way to move forward with our beloved work of connecting plants and people in a new form, virtually!
Fertile Ground Healing Village (then named Bloom) was born in the spirit of providing affordable opportunities for our community of plant lovers to come together in connection, in continued learning, and has since bloomed into a global village of herbalists, healers, birthworkers and beyond! We have welcomed incredible herbal and healing educators from across the globe including Lucretia Van Dyke, Brandon Ruiz, Robin Rose Bennett, Ayo Ngozi, Suzanna Stone, Geo Edwards, Ellenie Cruz, Violet King, Holly Dunbar, Namita Kulkarne, Yuré Calvo Santana. Lacey Walker, Olivia Fite, and so many more!
We also created a counterpart program specifically for youth, over at KidsHerbalism.com
Now entering our 5th year for these programs, we are beyond thrilled to forward this vision in having this incredible program accessible to all. Fertile Ground Healing Village will now be offered free of charge to our community, and our amazing community of sponsors and businesses are stepping up to fund this beautiful work!
Our visions is to provide high quality free herbal classes and education, as well as traditional healing ways, to our community long term. We have always centered community, care, and access in herbal education, and we are calling on members of our community who have the resources to support this program through monthly/annual sponsorships so others may access!
