Have you always dreamed of spending your days where the jungle meets the sea, immersing yourself in tropical rhythms, exploring plants and learning from indigenous and traditional Costa Rican plant people? Join us at Centro Ashé in Costa Rica!
The incredible Talamancan Coast of the South Caribbean of Costa Rica is where everything got started for Centro Ashé. Here our home is our community education center is in the heart of Manzanillo, a small village on the Caribbean Sea located at the end of the road on the South Caribbean. At our center we host workshops, groups, apprentices, plant walks and more! Our programming runs from November through April each year. We have been facilitating incredible cross cultural and educational programming for many years in this region home to Indigenous communities such as the BriBri, Kekoldi, and Cabecar, Chinese and Afro-Costa Rican communities, as well as immigrant communities from North American and Canada. Our programs highlight the local plant people, farmers, herbalists, healers, seedsavers, the keepers of this knowledge and culture, those who are helping it to continue on and to thrive into the future. Our tours support first and foremost the local economy, our teachers, hosts, and tours are all Costa Rican owned and operated.
